We need to wake up

I was in Saudi Arabia between 1981 and 1986. During this stay once a tyre manufacturing firm published an ad about their product. An Arab Shaikh was shown beside a big tyre saying 'I love this tyre, this is durable and cheap. This was taken an offence alleging that Arab shaikhs are depicted as paupers who prefer cheap things. A strong protest was lodged with the British government. Now the Western media is hell bent on provoking the Muslims, through ploys like publishing the profane sketches. They should be strongly criticized and forced to cease such activities.-REHMAT ALI ACHAKZAI, Peshawar, May 20.
