7,000 Bahawalpur youth to get IT training

Ahmedpur East - President Asif Ali Zardari will visit Bahawalpur in near future. This was informed by PPP Secretary General Bahawalpur Muhammad Ali Ahsan while talking to the newsmen here Friday. He informed that before the arrival of President, PPP Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich will come to Bahawalpur. PPP leader informed newsmen about PPP legislators and party leadership from Bahawalpur Division s meeting with President Zardari in Islamabad. He revealed that he and PPP District President Bahawalpur Shakar Mirza have presented a project to train 7000 Bahawalpur youth in Information Technology on which President directed Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme Farzana Raja to take this proposal it into consideration and submit him a report. Responding a question, he said that President Zardari while commenting on the demand for the restoration of former provincial status of Bahawallpur and the creation of Seraiki province told the participants that these are very sensitive issues. PPP special committee head and Federal Minister Khursheed Shah will submit its report to him within next couple of days. Afterwards, we would make consultations with our allies to devise a joint strategy, the President added. It is pertinent to mention that office of Subdivisinal Police Officer was lying vacant for last three months. Earlier, Punjab government had appointed two DSPs Chaudhry Mohd Safdar and Sheikh abid Akhter on the demand of two MPAs Makhdoom Syed Iftikhar Hassan Gillani and Malik Jehanzeb Warran but Bahawalpur Police authorities did not agree with their postings.
