ISLAMABAD - Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Engineer Farkhand Iqbal, has said that CDA would take all-out measures to make Islamabad the most beautiful, free of encroachments, and environment friendly city where all civic amenities and facilities would be ensured on priority.
He said this on the eve of his visit to Kalsoom Plaza, Blue Area and Melody Market, G-6 Civic Centre here on Sunday.
The Chairman CDA during his visit to Blue Area inspected the ongoing development work. He directed the concerned formations of the authority to complete all the development projects timely, adding that any deficiency or delay would not be tolerated.  He said that strict action would be taken against the officers concerned for not complying with the orders of the authority. He directed the concerned formation of CDA to resolve the parking issue in Melody Market and take effective measures for creations of a parking area in the market.
He also inspected the up-gradation work of roads around the Melody Market and expressed his satisfaction over the ongoing work. Chairman CDA also visited Food Street in Melody Market and met representatives of traders community. He assured them that their problems would be resolved on priority.
Engineer Farkhand Iqbal directed the concerned officers of CDA to remove the encroachments from the area and these encroachments portray ugly picture of the city. He said that Islamabad is the only planned city of the country, which would be made free of all kinds of encroachments.
