RAWALPINDI  - Six persons including four proclaimed offenders and two policemen were killed in exchange of fire here on Sunday.

According to details, on a tip off regarding presence of proclaimed offenders, a team of Chauntra police station conducted raid in Miyal area near Chakri Interchange of Rawalpindi. The culprits seeing the police party started firing which led to a gunfight. In cross firing four proclaimed offenders were killed while two cops including SI Ghulam Akbar and Husnain were martyred and two others injured.  The bodies and injured were moved to hospital for medico legal requirements.  The police said that the outlaws killed in the fire exchange were wanted by various police stations of the city in many incidents of robberies and other crimes.
