LAHORE – M Ali pehawalan clinched the Sher-e-Lahore Dangal title after defeating Ameer Ali pehalwan in few minutes here at Iqbal Park Wrestling Stadium on Sunday.

A large number of spectators were present on the occasion to witness the sher-e-Lahore title. Umar pehalwan also played well and won his competition.

In other competitions, the wrestlers Mama Mushtaq pehalwan, Dolay Shah pehalwan, Hero pehalwan, Mama pehalwan, Nadir pehalwan, Ali Haider pehalwan, Rashid pehalwan and Hassan pehalwan defeated their respective opponents while the matches between Umar pehalwan and Tanveer pehalwan and Hera pehalwan and Nadeem pehalwan ended in a draw.

MNA Pervaiz Malik and MPA Khawaja Salman Rafiq were the chief guests on the occasion. They gave away sher-e-Lahore title belt to M Ali.

Mohsin Arshad on the occasion said that holding such healthy competitions helped promoting dangal across the province.

“We will continue holding such healthy competitions in future and soon next series of these competitions will be announced after approval from Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif who himself a keen lover of sports and wants to promote sports across the province,” he concluded.
