KHAN GARH - The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is the party of the poor and it has always been struggled for the rights and empowerment of deprived segment of society.

This was stated by PPP leader and candidate for PP-256 Ch Aamir Karamat at the inaugural ceremony of free bus service for the residence of Kacha area along River Chenab here the other day.

PPP MNA Jamshid Ahmed Dasti inaugurated the bus service which will benefit the residents Kacha areas along River Chenab including Kachi Jai, Bullay Wahin, Haji Pur, Shah Pur and surroundings of Khan Garh. Ch Aamir Karamat has initiated the free coaster service on self-help basis and he will bear the daily expenses which is estimated at Rs8,000 to Rs10,000 per day. Speaking on the occasion, Ch Aamir Karamat said that free transport service for the poor public of NA-178 initiated by MNA Jamshid Dasti on his personal expenses had inspired him.

He claimed that this service was the first of its kind in the country because it was its success that compelled PM Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Zardari to donate two more buses to Jamshed Dasti.

He pointed out that now he had purchased a coaster with Rs2 million to provide free bus service to the residents of Kacha areas, especially the women and students. He pledged that he would utilise all his energies to make the service a success.
