LAHORE – Lahore General Hospital administration has decided to develop paperless environment by computerising working of all the departments of the hospital.

Under this project, to be completed at a cost of Rs50 million, all the staff of LGH including doctors, nurses and paramedics would be imparted computer training.

Chairing a meeting of administrative doctors including Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Hassan, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and LGH Prof Tariq Salah-ud-Din said with the completion of computerisation process, the administrative problems would also be controlled.

Moreover, doctors, nurses and paramedics would be able to serve ailing humanity more efficiently.

Prof Tariq said that computerization of the hospital would be very helpful for research and hospital staff would keep themselves with the latest advancements in the medical field. He said that now all the stages of patient’s treatment would be computerized and reports of all the tests i.e., CT scan, MRI and blood would be available to all the
