QUETTA - A woman was burnt alive allegedly by her husband in Quetta over a domestic dispute in the early hours of Sunday.

According to a local police officer, 29-year-old woman Saba was sprinkled with kerosene, and set on fire on the roof of her residence in Mecohangi Road. She was taken to Bolan Medical (BMC) Teaching Hospital for treatment where she was pronounced dead after a few hours.

‘She received hundred per cent burn injuries’, doctors said.

Father of the victim had lodged an FIR against four persons who are husband Atif Zubair, Asif Zubair father in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law of the victim.

Police raided the house but could not find the nominated accused at their residence.

Police officer Muhibullah said an FIR was lodged and investigations are underway.

According to father of the victim, the accused fled from the scene on Sunday after being informed that an FIR was lodged against them.
