Islamabad: The Federal Interior Ministry has given the permission to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to register cases against Axact, for allegedly running a diploma factory as alleged by New York Times.

According to details, FIA had sought permission from the ministry to register cases against Axact in light of its investigation and evidences. The cases will be registered in Islamabad and Karachi. FIA raids Axact offices again, seize more records. Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has also summoned details of taxes and assets of the company. According to details, the international racket of fake degrees, is facing crackdown from the Pakistani authorities. The FIA has made fresh raids at its Karachi and Rawalpindi offices and questioned employees and checked their records.
