LAHORE - A delegation of international investors in energy sector met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Wednesday. Matters regarding energy projects especially gas and wind power projects were discussed in the meeting. Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan is facing energy crisis, however, the government is making sincere efforts for getting it over.

He said cooperation of the international group in gas and wind power projects will be welcomed. The leader of the delegation assured cooperation to the Punjab government in energy projects.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that government is implementing various projects for the welfare and betterment of the masses. He said that Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme has been launched in the province which is a unique and the biggest project of construction and rehabilitation of rural roads. He said that this project will prove to be a milestone in the progress and prosperity of rural areas.

Meanwhile, talking to assembly members of various districts Chief Minister said that a huge amount of Rs. 15 billion is being spent on Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme during current fiscal year while a target of construction of all rural roads during next three years has been fixed.

Shahbaz Sharif said the Programme will bring prosperity in rural areas, thousands of job opportunities will be created and rural economy will be strengthened.
