An award distribution ceremony was held at Government Commerce College Khanewal here on Tuesday.
Speakers on the occasion praised the teachers’ role, saying that they build character of students by devoting their energies to the profession.
The speakers included Prof Aqab Ahmed, Prof Aash Muhammad, Prof Rana Khalil Ahmed, Mahr M Yaqoob, M Ali, M Tahir Iqbal and Prof Allah Ditta. Prof Aqib Ahmed, the principal highlighted the college’s academic and extracurricular activities.
Deputy Director Colleges Muhammad Ibrar Ahmed urged the students to help fight challenges being faced by the country including poverty, terrorism and illiteracy. Principal Rana Khalil Ahmed said teachers play a key role in development of the nation and revolutionise all the sectors in a country.
Prof Azam Hussian gave briefing on the function of multimedia. Meanwhile, the chief guest gave away cash prizes, certificate and medals to the successful students. Fiza Zahoor had got second position and Saba Zahoor who got third position in Punjab Board of Technical Education’ examination throughout the Punjab provinces.
