Punjabi cultural show mesmerises audience

Rawalpindi - For the promotion and introduction of the cultural heritage of the Punjab and to encourage the new young talent of the region, Rawalpindi Arts Council arranged a Punjabi Cultural Show.
Ex-MNA Nadeem Afzal Chun flanked by Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed was guest of honour. The aim to conduct the show was to prove that Pakistanis love their culture and not extremism.
Different communities from all provinces including Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir and added charm to Punjabi cultural show attended the show. Kalam of Mian Muhammad Bux, Bulhey Shah, Baba Fareed and other Punjab sufi saints were presented besides matrimonial songs. Folk tale of Heer Ranjha and other skits based on Punjabi culture were also staged beautifully.
Local singer Samina Khan paying glorious tribute to martyrs of Operation Zarb-e-Azb sang a song “Eh rah-e-haq kay shaheedo, wafa ki tasveero”.
Nadeem Afzal Chun addressing at the occasion said that culture is the recognition of any region and to love own culture means to love Pakistan. Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed said that the cultural heritage of all provinces of Pakistan is like a bouquet of flowers and our foremost recognition is to being Pakistani. At the end of Punjabi cultural show song on peace was presented and rich tribute paid to martyrs of Pakistan Army who sacrifices their lives for the sake of the country.
