Rawalpindi: Accountability court in Rawalpindi today has exempted former president and leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari, from appearing in court in assets reference.

According to details, the former president appeared in the court amid tight security and pleaded to exempt him, as he won’t be able to come to court on regular basis due to security reasons.

After hearing the arguments of the accused, the court granted him exemption from appearing in court in assets reference case and adjourned the hearing till June 2. The court also summoned witnesses in the case against former president Asif Ali Zardari on June 2.
