ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday sought Presidents’ permission for fixing the dates for holding the ensuing next general elections 2018 on the specific date from July 25 to 27.

According to a press release, a summary has been sent to the President Mamnoon Hussain, proposing that the election date should be fixed from July 25 to 27 as per clause 57 (1) of the Election Act 2017.
