Punjab govt to regularize more than 30000 contract teachers

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Government has decided to regularize contract teachers from all the districts of the province including Rawalpindi.

According to media reports, these teachers were appointed on contract basis four years before.

This move will likely promote around 30,000 teachers including more than a thousand from Rawalpindi.

The Secretary of Education has submitted to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif the summary of teachers of various categories, whose 4 years contract has concluded.

Sources assert that the said these teachers are likely to be regularized in the current month while the four years contract period will be not be assumed as permanent once they were regularized.
