LAHORE - Pre-Quality Assurance Test of private Schools for their partnership with the Punjab Education Foundation under Foundation Assisted Schools programme will commence from today (Monday). In this QAT, more than 300,000 students of 4,400 schools will take part in different districts of the province. The purpose of this Pre-QAT is to select the suitable schools for partnership with the FEF. According to PEF Project Officer Zia-ud-Din But, the holding of test has been handed over to the institutions of repute so that the transparency and impartiality could be fully ensured. The detailed schedule of the Pre-QAT test has been issued at PEF website www.pef.edu.pk for the convenience of the applicants. The Punjab Education Foundation has set up central control room to monitor the holding of this test which will conclude on December 13. According to the exam schedule, in case of primary school the exam of two classes will be held, while in case of middle or secondary school exam of three classes would be taken. The schools have been directed to ensure 90% attendance on the exam day. It is mandatory that 66.67 per cent students should obtain 35 per cent marks in English and 40 per cent marks in rest of the subjects.
