It is often claimed that an emergency educational reform is required in the country, but for those in power this is perhaps not an issue to be bothered about. Few days back, PM issued directives to HEC to revise syllabus after consultation with the provinces. It is good to note that he expressed his desire to include concepts like democracy, constitution and accountability into the syllabus to familiarize our youth with the civil and political norms of the civilised world. This would be a good move indeed, but unfortunately, no action in this regard is yet visible. Good words are useless if not followed by concrete actions.
