A speeding water tanker crashed into a house killing a teenage girl and injuring eight other people in Karachi's Korangi area today morning.

According to rescue sources, the tanker crashed into a house in Darul Uloom colony just before dawn when its residents were fast asleep. Rescue teams arrived at the spot and pulled the trapped people from under the debris. Noreen, teenage girl, died in the accident.

As per eyewitnesses, the driver of the tanker was intoxicated when he crashed the vehicle, escaped from the incident. Police are conducting raids to arrest him.
