Three ‘murderers’ held with Interpol’s help

GUJRANWALA-Police have arrested three proclaimed offenders involved in terrorism, murder and dacoity incidents with the help of Interpol from Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
Talking to the media, CPO Ashfaq Khan said that accused Usman and Ehsanullah had gunned down a citizen and injured three persons on 27th of October 2016 while the third accused Tariq Javed was involved in terrorism and murder case. The accused had fled abroad after the incidents. Gujranwala police contacted with the Interpol for the arrest of the said accused and after hard struggles succeeded to arrest Usman and Tariq from Saudi Arabia while Eshan was arrested from Dubai through Interpol.
Meanwhile, Anti-Corruption Establishment teams in various raids arrested eight government officials involved in corruption and power abuse in Gujranwala and Gujrat. M Aslam, M Asif and M Saleem is involved in bogus recruitments in Education Department; secretary union council Tahir Shah involved in issuing of bogus born and death certificates, senior clerk of Education Department Ettiq involved in the misuse of powers while Tehsildar Gujrat Ghulam Fareed, Patwari Siddique and Afzal are involved in corruption.
After completion of enquiries into the allegations levelled against them proved, the ACE teams conducted raids and arrested all the accused.

Fugitive held from Dubai after three years

SARGODHA - The district police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a fugitive in a murder case after three year from Dubai with the assistance of International Police (Interpol).
Police sources told that the accused identified as Tahir Mehboob, son of Ghulam Murtaza, had killed a man over old enmity in 2014 in Mela police precincts and fled abroad. He was declared proclaimed offender (PO). Police traced him out in Dubai and a raiding team, led by Bhalwal Police SHO Malik Farooq Hasnat, flew to Dubai after acquiring his red warrants from court. The Interpol assisted the police team for arrest of the accused. Police sources added that the accused would be brought back to Pakistan after requisite legal proceedings.
