Educational institutions have been closed throughout the country after the twin suicide attack at International Islamic University Islamabad. Two suicide attackers bombed a women's cafeteria and a faculty building of IIUI Tuesday killing six people including two female students. A meeting presided over by Federal Education Minister Hazar Khan Bijarani, decided to close all federal government educational institutions till coming Sunday. The authorities have decided to close Allama Iqbal Open University, International Islamic University, Naval University, Iqra University, Fatima Jinnah Women University and other academic institutions till October 25. On the advice of Interior Ministry, authorities in the federal capital and provincial governments of Sindh, NWFP and Balochistan have announced to close all the public and private schools and colleges till Sunday, Oct. 25 to avoid any untoward situation. A meeting at Chief Minister House in Lahore, chaired by senior provincial Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa also decided to shut all the academic institutions in the province till further order. Entry tests and ongoing examinations in various institutions have also been postponed.
