QUETTA - At least three people were killed, including a woman, and eight others wounded in firing and landmine blasts in different towns of Balochistan on Sunday.

According to police, armed men gunned down a woman in the Sourab area of Kalat district and fled away. In another indident, unidentified people killed one Khalil and wounded Abdus Salam seriously in the Katan area of Khuzdar.

In yet another incident, armed men opened fire one Attaullah in Duki tehsil of Loralai district. He was seriously wounded and succumbed to his injuries on his way to hospital. Motive behind the murder is said to be an old enmity.

Meanwhile, three people were wounded when armed men opened fire on them in Killi Karbal of Pishin district. The injured were shifted to Quetta after providing to them first aid in Pishin.

In addition, four people, including a woman, were wounded in tehsil Sui of Dera Bugti district in two landmine blasts.

The first incident occurred in Yaro Paht area of Sui when an oxcart stepped on a landmine that exploded and wounded Dalo Khan and his wife.

In the second incident, a two wheeler rolled on a landmine in Sui tehsil, which went off, injuring two persons. They injured were shifted a nearby hospital for medical aid.
