SIALKOT - PPP Central Leader and former Federal Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has pledged that her party will give a tough time to the ruling PML-N during the upcoming Local Bodies election and the party had devised a well-thought political strategy to make its presence feel by the opponents in the LB polls in Punjab. She stated this while talking to the party workers at village Partaanwali-Hundal, Sialkot tehsil here on Sunday. Former MPA Tahir Mehmood Hundali and President Anjuman Ghulaman-e-Mustafa Partaanwali Mehboob Alam Aashi were also present on the occasion.

She said that the PPP still had very deep roots among the masses as the PML-N government had not yet given anything except disappointment to the perturbed people and the PML-N had miserably failed to honour its tall claims of giving instant relief in every sector to the public.

Dr Firdous claimed that the PPP had always battled for the true democracy and rights of the masses, adding that the PPP was completing its homework to win the upcoming LB elections in the Punjab. The former minister pointed out that the forthcoming LG elections would prove to be a test for the ruling PML-N as the people who voted for the party in the general elections were now repenting due to the poor performance of the government. She asserted that the incumbent rulers had snatched the right to living from the masses through the massive hike in power and gas tariffs and POL prices which had made the lives of already embattled people miserable.
