Govt to approach parliamentary parties over PTI sit-in: sources

ISLAMABAD: The federal government is likely to consult parliamentary parties over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PT) Chairman Imran Khan’s call to ‘shut down’ the federal capital on November 2.

Sources privy to the government have reported that a three-member committee was formed for the purpose that included federal ministers Pervaiz Rashid, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Hasil Buksh Bizenjo.

The committee has been tasked with approaching different parliamentary parties for discussion over PTI’s sit-in purportedly to be staged on November 2.

All the three members would make attempts to convince the political parties to stand united with the government against Imran Khan and his supporters.
