Islamabad - National Assembly of the Standing Committee on Cabinet on Thursday expressed concerns over illegal lease of grand hotel.

A meeting was held here in Parliament House with Parveen Masood  Bhatti, MNA in the chair on Thursday. 

The Committee expressed concerns over the illegal lease agreement of Grand Hayat Hotel and directed that CADD may take stringent measures to recover the investment of Pakistani and overseas communities as they are suffering badly due to uncertain situation.

The Committee directed that CDA may identify the black sheep of their department who were involved in the illegal lease agreement and pursue the court cases effectively so that culprits could be penalized accordingly.

The NA body expressed strong displeasure over the mushroom growth of  illegal housing societies and directed that CDA may ensure that each housing society may get NOC from CDA before selling a single plot.

The Committee further directed that CDA may strengthen its enforcement  wing to remove all encroachments in Islamabad without any discrimination.  The Committee deferred the remaining agenda items till its next meeting. The meeting was attended by Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA, Dr Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, MNA,  Marriyum Aurangzeb, MNA, Farhana Qamar, MNA, and others.

 Shehnaz Saleem, MNA, Nighat Parveen Mir, MNA, Moulvi Agha Muhammad, MNA, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, MNA, Seema Muhiuddin Jameeli, MNA and senior officers of the concerned Ministries/departments.
