HAFIZABAD - During raids, four restaurants were sealed for selling substandard food and insanitary conditions in their premises.

A district administration team also raided different shops dealing in edibles and registered criminal cases against eight shopkeepers for selling spurious edibles and expired foodstuffs. The district administration has warned the restaurant and eatery owners to improve sanitary conditions and ensure provision of healthy foodstuff otherwise they would be dealt with sternly.  In this connection, District Officer (Health) M Younas Khokhar along with District Sanitary Inspector Rana Irshad Ahmad and other officials of District Food Control Authority raided different restaurants.

The team also raided different shops dealing in edibles and registered criminal cases against eight shopkeepers for selling spurious edibles and expired foodstuffs.

The District Food Control Authority has warned that those playing with the lives of public by serving stale and substandard edibles would not be spared.

They directed the owners of restaurants, eatery and tea stall to ensure better sanitation in their premises otherwise the Food Authority would show zero tolerance and take serious action against them.
