381,299 children to be vaccinated against polio  in Mardan

MARDAN -District Health Officer Dr Kachkool Khan on Wednesday said that 381,299 children below five-year age would be given anti-polio drops during five-day anti-polio campaign beginning today (Thursday). Briefing the media persons, Dr Kachkool Khan said that 1,609 mobile teams have been established for the campaign. He said that we will try our best to cover the refusal and missing children in the upcoming anti-polio campaign.  
Dr Kachkool Khan urged the people to get administer their children below five years with anti-polio drops and save them from disabilities. He said that polio virus is eradicated from the whole world except Afghanistan and Pakistan. He said that through the efforts of ulema and social workers refused parents have agreed to get administer their children with anti-polio drops.  
Dr Kachkool Khan said that more than 305 dengue cases are reported in the district. The ratio of positive dengue cases, he added, is increasing day by day. However, he said that at the end of November the dengue mosquitoes would be eradicated. He said corona epidemic situation is under control in the district after vaccination. 
He said the Health Department has started a survey throughout the district in connection of Covid-19 vaccination.
