The day when as many as 18 people, including women and children, died in a suicidal attack in Pakistan, the PPP workers were dancing, blowing fireworks and distributing sweets on Mr Zardari's being elected President. Why was it necessary to celebrate a foregone success like this? I was speechless when someone in London cited the incident and said what sort of people are you? I had no answer except to say that the day is not very far when sweets will be distributed again in the streets of Pakistan - on Mr Zardari's departure. -MAJ (Retd) ANWAR PASHA, London, UK, via e-mail, September 7.
