ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tuesday swiftly condemned in strongest terms the terrorist attack in Kabul that martyred Chairman Afghan High Peace Council and former president Burhanuddin Rabbani and injured many others. In a joint statement issued by the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, they conveyed to the brotherly people and the government of Afghanistan their extreme anger and shock on the terrorist attack. I think the US will have to seek political solution to the conflict, former secretary general Ministry of Foreign Affairs Akram Zaki said while condemning the killing of Burhanuddin Rabbani. He was of the view that no power had defeated national resistance movement and eventually had to seek political settlement of the conflict. Zaki called upon the US to initiate what he described as 'creative diplomacy rather than corrective diplomacy Washington has been using as a tool to engage Pakistan. Some of the sources have also pointed their fingers to the CIAs involvement in staging such attacks in Afghanistan to provide justification for the US forces for lingering on their stay in the war-torn country.
