MULTAN/ SIALKOT/ SHEIKHUPURA - All is set to mark Friday as 'Love for Prophet (SAWW) Day' as almost all religious organizations, their students wings, some political parties, traders bodies, journalists and lawyers have finalized their programme for the day.The traders will observe a complete shutter-down strike while the clerics will adopt condemnation resolutions during juma sermons followed by protest rallies and demonstrations.On the other hand, the anger against blasphemous movie further boiled as over a dozen protest demonstrations took place in different areas of Multan on Friday. The students, traders, lawyers, political workers and civil society activists staged separate demonstrations. The enraged protesters carried out full-throated sloganeering against USA, Israel and rulers of Muslim states. They burnt the effigy of filmmaker, American and Israeli flags and blocked different city roads. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands. Talking to the journalists on this occasion, the protesters said that filmmaker committed a highly condemnable crime while American government contributed to his crime by backing his shameful satanic act. They said that the faces of all enemies of Islam and Muslims got unveiled after this incident. "It is time to recognize the faces of enemies. They have waged war against Islam and we have to give them matching response," the protesters added. They demanded the government to expel American envoy from Pakistan and cut all diplomatic ties with her.SIALKOT, a complete shutter-down strike would be observed in Sialkot on Friday (today) as mark of protest against the anti-Islam film. On the occasion, a big protest meeting would also held at Chowk Allama Iqbal and people from all walks of life including minorities will participate in the protest to express solidarity their Muslim brethren.Meanwhile, religious leaders of Christian Community and a large number of Christians took out a protest rally against blasphemous movie from Sialkot Press Club on Thursday evening.Speaking on the occasion, the religious leaders strongly condemned the movie maker and urged upon the US government to take stern action against the persons involved in making this nasty film. The minorities living in Pakistan are enjoying their rights and living according to caste and creeds and we are living like brothers in Pakistan they said.SHEIKHUPURA, a complete shutter-down strike will be observed throughout on Friday (today) to mark protest against anti-Islam film. People from all school of thoughts, traders, religious organizations, lawyers, journalists and students will take part in the protest rallies to be taken out in the entire district. On the other hand, DPO Dr Haider Ashraf chalked out a special plan to maintain law and order situation on the occasion. In this connection former advisor to CM Abid Hussain Chattha while talking to The Nation criticized the rulers, saying that they had sold their dignity and self-respect. He urged the government to sever ties with the US government until they take a stern action against the film-maker.
