QUETTA - Two people were killed, including a child and three others wounded in two separate incidents of firing in Panjgour and Nushki districts, on Thursday.

Unidentified armed assailants opened indiscriminate firing on residence of JUI-F leader Abdul Hayee with sophisticated weapons in Surdo area of Panjgour. Consequently, a child was killed after getting bullet wounds and two others, including a woman sustained injuries in the firing.

The assailants escaped from the scene after committing the crime. The injured were first moved to nearby hospital for first medical aid and later shifted to Karachi for further treatment.

JUI-F has announced a shutter down strike against the attack on its leader in Panjgour on Friday (today). Motive behind the attack could not be ascertained. In the second incident, one person was killed and another wounded in Nushki. Police sources said that Rustam and Abdul Karim both real brothers were on their way in Nushki town when armed men sprayed a volley of bullets on them.

As result, both sustained injuries and were being shifted to hospital when Rustam succumbed to his injuries.

The injured Karim was later referred to Quetta for further treatment. Police said that motive behind the killing was old enmity. A case has been registered and further investigations were underway.
