LAHORE - Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Syed Raghib Abbas Shah has said that besides initiating new projects in water and hydropower sectors, completion of the under-construction projects in shortest possible time is the top priority of the present management.

During his maiden address to the WAPDA senior officers at WAPDA House on Thursday, the chairman said on-time completion of the projects was vital in view of the increasing needs of water and electricity in the country. He directed the project authorities to expedite their efforts in completing the projects, so that their benefits could be accrued to mitigate water and power shortfall.

He said that WAPDA should come up to the expectations of the people, as it deals with the two vital sectors of water and hydropower in the country.
