KARACHI : Police on Thursday found five ‘infected’ Australian sheep dead near a farmhouse in the City.
Talking to a private TV channel, Deputy Commissioner Malir Jan Muhammad Qazi said that a raid was conducted on a tip-off that infected sheep, imported from Australia, have been kept at a farmhouse
in Bin Qasim Town in Karachi. He said that the police found five dead sheep near the farmhouse.
Earlier, Managing Director of Wellard Rural Exports of Australia, asked the authorities to immediately halt culling of the sheep claiming that the animals are not infected.
