KARACHI – MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has appealed the people to register peaceful protest on “Youm-i-ishq-i-Rasool”.Mr Hussain has once again condemned the sacrilegious film and appealed to the people to refrain from damaging public property while getting their protest registered. He said violent protests and damaging public properties would have no effect on the makers of the wicked film and their supporters. Harmful protest would only harm the country and fellow citizens.He urged upon President Asif Ali Zardari to raise the issue of the highly inflammatory and disparaging film forcefully in his address to the General Assembly of the United Nations and condemn the film in the strongest possible words and inform the world community about the sentiments of the nation. A resolution condemning the denigrating film should also be introduced in the General Assembly.He appealed international community to strongly condemn the incendiary film. He urged upon the people to register their protest in a forceful manner while observing the “Youm-i-ishq-i-Rasool”. He asked to send memorandums to the United Nations, member countries of the NATO and OIC and express their sentiments in a peaceful manner. Muttahida Bain-ul-Muslimeen Forum will hold a protest demonstration against the sacrilegious film at the press club today. The Muttahida Bainul-Muslimeen Forum will hold a protest demonstration at Karachi Press Club against the sacrilegious film at 3:00 pm. Religious scholars belonging to different schools of thought and general public transcending across sectarian differences, and beliefs would register their protest against the wicked and disparaging film. Members of the forum will address the people coming to attend the peaceful demonstration.Meanwhile, Majlis-e-Wahdatul-Muslimeen has announced that “Labaik Ya Rasool Allah Rally” will be taken out in all cities of the country record protest against the blasphemous anti-Islam movie.MWM Secretary General Mulana Mukhtar Imami announced this at his at the provincial office on Thursday. He said that, in this regard, a huge protest rally will also be taken out in Karachi from Numaish Chowrangi to Tibet Centre. In the rally, thousands of people will participate.
