RAWALPINDI – Inauguration ceremony of Shah Khalid Colony railway underpass project and UC Shakerial Water Supply was held here on Thursday.
Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Raja Abdul Latif, Chaudhry Ajab and Malik Dabir, members of the committee formed by the leader of opposition in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan inaugurated the projects.
According to the sources, the Shah Khalid Colony Railway Underpass Project would cost Rs90 million while the UC Shakerial water supply has been completed with the cost of Rs6.5 million.
On the occasion, Chairman Bait-ul-Mal Rawalpindi district, Raja Arshad Mehmood, DG RDA, Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed and MD WASA, Raja Shoukat Mehmood along with Umar Farooq, Raja Basit Maskeen, Chaudhry Ameer Ali and other notables of the area were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed said that the railway underpass would provide a passage to the residents of Dhok Munshi and Shah Khalid Colony. Moreover, the residents of Dhok Munshi would find a short road to the airport.
MD WASA, Raja Shoukat said that acting on the directives of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, they had made sure the availability of water to the residents of UC Shakerial on priority basis.
