Lahore - The Lahore Businessmen Front (LBF) has announced to abolish fees on all the services being offered by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to its members after winning the LCCI elections 2016-17.

LBF Chairman Muhammad Amjad Chaudhry, while unveiling the manifesto of his group, said that there would be no service fee except the annual membership fee.

“Fee for issuing visa support letter will also not be charged from the members once his group comes to power,” he announced.

Chaudhry was speaking at a luncheon reception arranged by the Lahore Customs Clearing Agents Association at the Lahore Dry Port here on Tuesday.

The event was also addressed by LBF President Raja Hassan Akhtar, Sardar Usman Ghani, Sajid Mir and others.

A large number of customs clearing agents and traders from different markets attended the reception.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry said that his group would promote merit at all tiers of the LCCI.

“The ‘Achievement Award’, announced by the LCCI on a yearly basis, would also be given on merit instead of donation or fee,” he added.

Other points of his manifesto include setting up of special counters by NADRA and a Passport Office in the chamber premises and special counters by the Income Tax, Sales Tax and Customs to facilitate the members.
