PESHAWAR - Security forces on Tuesday arrested three Afghan terrorists in Charsadda.

Five women facilitators who were allegedly involved in supplying weapons to terrorists for subversive activities were also taken into custody in a separate operation.

Sources said that the search operation was carried out by Swat Scouts in Tehsil Shabqadar area.

On a tip-off security forces raided a house and arrested all the five facilitators for their links with terrorist elements. The arrested persons were shifted to an unknown location for further investigation.

Later in a separate incident security forces arrested three more terrorists in Mandani area of Charsadda. The arrested persons were identified as Imdadullah, Hashim Khan and Muhammad Nabi, all nationals of Afghanistan.

Security forces and police also launched search operation in the surrounding areas of Peshawar and arrested 12 suspected persons.

Police also recovered nine pistols, 170 cartridges and bottle of wines. During search operation 300 houses were searched.
