LAHORE Former Pakistan captain Aamir Sohail on Tuesday took a swipe at PCB chairman Ijaz Butt, asking him to stop his 'one-man show for the sake of national cricket. Aamir said he was baffled by the way Butt vetoed the choice of the chief selector, Pakistan captain and team coach and opted himself name replacements. I must say that this one-man show will have to be stopped, said Aamir, a former Test opener. Its the chief selectors job to pick players in consultation with the captain and coach. But unfortunately it is the PCB chairman who is calling all the shots, he added. If you have to make all the decision then why have you appointed these people. There should be distribution of power otherwise we cant have any improvement in our cricket, he added. Aamir said that if the PCB chairman is adamant on taking all the decisions himself then he should fire the coach and chief selector. Aamir served as Director Game Development during the early part of Butts tenure but fell out with the PCB chief after he wasnt allowed enough room to implement his plans for the development of Pakistan cricket.
