LAHORE (PPI) - The Managing Director of Kashf Foundation Ms Roshaneh Zafar and the CEO of Kashf Microfinance Bank Limited Mr Ghazanfar Azzam signed an agreement to initiate Kashf Savings Kiosk at Kashf Foundation branches across the country. This kiosk will offer savings facilities to the poor in Pakistan. Low income households will have access to formal savings accounts with Kashf Microfinance Bank Ltd., where they will be able to save with even their small saving amounts. At the occasion of the signing ceremony Ms. Zafar, Managing Director Kashf Foundation stated that In a highly volatile economic environment, offering quality and affordable deposit services to low income households was a very important initiative, since savings enables poor households to manage their unpredictable cash flows. Kashf Foundation and its entire sister entities remain committed to serving low income households especially women by continuous innovation. The signing of the kiosk project between the Kashf Foundation and Kashf Microfinance Bank will open up avenues for raising deposits from low income households and ensuring that like other countries of the world, poor people especially women have safe places to save their money. While addressing participants, Ghazanfar Azzam, CEO Kashf Microfinance Bank expressed hope that Kiosk model will add a successful and inexpensive delivery channel for delivery of basic financial services to the large unbanked population of the country and increase access to financial services in a significant manner. He complimented members of the joint project team for making excellent preparations and wished them well for successfully piloting the concept.
