KARACHI - Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday presided over a high-level meeting of Law Department at the Chief Minister’s House.

The meeting discussed latest position of several cases lying in various courts. It was decided that every department would be assigned a deputy secretary as a focal person to properly pursue the cases through the Sindh law secretary and advocate general. The chief minister directed all the officers to properly pursue the cases and full efforts be made to protect government property.

He warned that any officer found negligent would be dealt with sternly and action would be taken against him/her.

He impressed upon law officers to follow the government’s policies and fight the cases with proper arguments and record.

The meeting was attended among others by Sindh Minister for Law & Jails Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Sindh Advocat General Abdul Fatah Malik, Secretary Law Ghulam Nabi Shah and Prosecutor General Shahadad Awan.
