LAHORE – TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Chairman Majid Nizami has said that the country needed a political party for making Pakistan an Islamic democratic welfare state as dreamt by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

“Entire opulence and freedom of the people of Pakistan are due to Allama Iqbal and Two-Nation Theory,” he held.

Though Dr Iqbal could not live to see the creation of Pakistan, the Quaid had completed the assignment Iqbal had given to him, added the NPT Chairman.

Regretting that none of the today’s political parties were able to make Pakistan as dreamt by the great thinker, Mr Nizami urged the participants to make efforts for the same. Speaking at the mausoleum of Iqbal, he said that Pakistan was an atomic power and has capability to face every challenge of India.
