RAWALPINDI  – Rawalpindi city and district government has decided to launch sanitation drive from next week.

This was decided in the meeting which was attended by the elected representatives of the people and representatives of district administration.

It was decided that sanitation program would be launched on emergency basis from next Monday for removing garbage dumps and heaps of filth from all urban areas.

In the second phase sanitation week would be observed in organised manner throughout the city.

Members of provincial assembly presented the schedule of sanitation in respect of their respective union councils. In this regard teams comprising 4 sanitary workers for sanitation purpose at union council were set up which will assist the sanitary workers already appointed in union councils in cleanliness campaign.
