Three cops hurt in vans collision

TANK – Three police personnel got injured when two police patrolling mobiles collided with each other near Manjhi Khiel Police check post, police said on Saturday.
They said the policemen injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Tank. They added that both the police mobiles were also partially damaged.
The injured personnel include Shafiullah, Abdurehman, and Muhammad Sajid from Tank police. Later Muhammad Sajid was shifted from Tank hospital to Multan due to his critical condition, however the rest of the injured were said to be out of danger. Acting District Police Officer of Tank Anwar Saeed Kundi visited Tank hospital to enquire the condition of injured police personnel and directed the hospital staff to provide them with all required facilities.
A security personnel got injured after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded at Tank-Jandola Road near Khirgi village, 40-kilometre west from here, on Saturday, sources said.
A searching party of security personnel was scanning the road in the morning when an IED, which was buried beside the main Jandola Road exploded with a big bang, they said, adding that another IED, buried beside the road by unknown extremists, went off near Kor FC Fort in Manzai, some 7-kilometre away from Jandola. Glasses of a water tanker of Frontier Constabulary were broken in the blast however no human loss was reported.
Another IED also reportedly exploded in the ShanKheil village in the jurisdiction of Gomal Police Station, however no loss of life or property was reported. Soon after the incident security forces cordoned off the Khirigi area and initiated a search operation.

Two more IEDs were recovered and defused by security forces during search, the sources added.
