PESHAWAR - Waheed Baloch with his gross score 139 took lead on the second day of 22nd KP National Ranking Open Golf Championship on Saturday
Waheed was second yesterday but with a calculation games he got a stroke lead with his five under par gross score 139 over 36 holes. He made two birdies at hole No. 1 and 5 at front nine holes and two more birdies at hole no 12 and 18 in the back nine by carding 34, at front while two under par and 37 and one over par at back nine. Waheed added 71, one under at his overnight 68, four under par.
Opening day leader M Munir slipped a stroke and was struggling at second with his gross score 140, four under par. Munir hit three birdies and a bogy at front nine with on birdie and four bogies at back nine by carding two under 34 at front nine and three over par 39 at back nine.
Safdar maintained his position by adding 72, par, to his overnight 69, three under by scoring 141 over 36 holes.
Talib Hussain of Islamabad added a good score of 71, one under to his overnight 71
International golfer Imran Hussain scored 143, one under par by adding 73, one over par to his overnight scorer 70, two under par. Matloob Ahmad with his gross score 144, M Siddque 144, Rehan Siddique 145, M Rehan Haider (145), M Arif (145), Nisar Hussain (145) and Ejaz Khan (145) were at 7th position. There was cut after 36-holes on the second day and almost 24 golfers ousted from the main race.
