LAKKI MARWAT - The Saifullah brothers and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leader Khan Bahadar Marwat on Sunday resolved their years long differences.
Both the families belonging to Ghaznikhel were at loggerheads since last several years.
At a huge gathering in Ghaznikhel Saifullah brothers including Humayun Saifullah Khan, Salim Saifullah Khan and Anwar Saifullah Khan and Khan Bahadar Marwat from the other side embraced each other in the presence of elders and supporters of both families and residents of Ghaznikhel and other adjacent villages. They pledged that they would utilize their energies for the betterment of people in future.
Saifullah brothers praised Khan Bahadar for his willingness to end differences and reconnect ties between both families. They said that the elders should use their influence to resolve the disputes among other tribes and individuals to promote harmony and brotherhood.
Retired cops to be hired for election security
Meanwhile, the city police have decided to acquire services of retired cops to maintain peace during the process of election.
An official said on Sunday that DPO Abdul Rashid held a meeting with retired police officers and cops at his office in this regard and discussed with them the law and order situation.
“Matters pertaining to utilise services of retired police personnel to control law and order situation and hold elections in a peaceful atmosphere also came under discussion”, said the official.
