Attack on Pasni radar system foiled

PASNI - Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel on late Monday night thwarted a terrorist attack on air traffic control radar of Pasni Airport.
ASF spokesman Abbas Memon said the terrorists launched attack on the radar in an organised manner from the nearby mountains, however, the ASF personnel foiled the assault.
He said, "All the installations of the Pasni radar were safe."
Meanwhile, at least four terrorists were killed in a retaliatory attack by security forces in Awaran area of Balochistan on Tuesday, after the terrorists opened fired at the convoy of security agencies.
According to media reports, security convoy was on the way to duty at Maska area of Awaran, when suddenly terrorists opened fire at them. At least four terrorist were killed in the battle which lasted for three hours, whereas no security officials were injured in the attack. Several militants fled from the scene, whereas security forces recovered huge cache of arms.
Additional units of security forces were called in. The security services cordoned off the area and started investigation into the matter while search operation was underway in various areas.
In a related incident, two security personnel and a militant were killed during a gunbattle in the troubled Jiwani area of Gwadar District on Tuesday.
"A militant and two FC personnel were killed during a gunbattle," a Frontier Corps spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said Frontier Corps Balochistan had carried out a search operation in Pasni area of Gwadar against the attackers of Pasani radar.
"The deadly clash with militants occurred in Zarenbug area on Tuesday morning," the spokesperson added.
The exchange of fire was still underway in Zarenbug area.
The spokesperson for the banned BRA Sarbaz Baloch said his organisation was responsible for the attack on the radar and security forces in Gwadar.
Speaking to media representatives via satellite phone, the BRA spokesperson warned of more such attacks in the future.

ALLEGED COMMANDER OF BANNED OUTFIT HELD IN PANJGUR

Security forces arrested a commander of banned outfit from Tasp area of Panjgur on Tuesday.
They said alleged commander of proscribed organisation namely Basit alias Basu was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off.
Arms were also recovered from his procession.

NEW GROUP FORMED FOR SABOTAGE: ACCUSED SPILLS BEANS

A new group named Balochistan Sub-Nationalist Movement has been formed for sabotage and terrorism inside the province, nine terrorists arrested in Turbat killings disclosed to investigators.
The nine accused were arrested in a raid carried out by Frontier Corps (FC) on an intelligence clue.
The suspects confessed that they were involved in the killing of the workers in Turbat and also revealed that a new group Balochistan Sub-Nationalist Movement had been formed for sabotage and terrorism inside the province.
It should be noted that the case of the incident was registered against Baloch Liberation Front chief Allah Nazar and others at Turbat Police Station.
Twenty labourers working on a construction project were gunned down at point blank range by armed men in Turbat.
Balochistan is plagued by violence, with separatists seeking control over the province's rich oil, gas and mineral resources.
Terrorist factions have also targeted outsiders in the past as well.
