LAHORE - Samanabad Town will observe cleanliness week from April 27 to May 2.
Chairing a meeting of Emergency Response Committee on Tuesday, Town Municipal Officer Imtiaz Awan directed all departments to submit plans regarding observing cleanliness week within four days so that they could be implemented.
Officers of Health, Education, Solid Waste Management, WASA, PHA and other departments attended the meeting.
Imtiaz Awan directed the officials to ensure lifting of garbage from open places, check junkyards, tyre shops and under construction buildings. He also ordered them to ensure implementation of precautionary measures against dengue at educational institutions.
He further said that the schools which are not implementing government instructions would be closed.
