LAHORE - Punjab University Department of Philosophy has organized Iqbal memorial lecture at Al Raazi Hall of Undergraduate Studies here on Tuesday.
Dr Rafi uddin Hashmi presided over the seminar while Chairperson Department of Philosophy Dr Shagufta Bukhari, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. The speakers paid glowing tributes to Allama Iqbal for his remarkable contribution towards awakening the Muslims of India for the sake of independence from British rule and obtaining education.
Renowned teacher of philosophy Prof Dr Naeem Ahmed was the keynote speaker who highlighted various aspects of Allama Iqbal’s thoughts and life. Dr Shagufta Bukhari said that the series of Iqbal memorial lectures have helped in understanding philosophy of the poet of the east.
