A moderate 5.1-magnitude earthquake rattled the Tokyo region on Friday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. There were no immediate reports of damage. The tremor struck 50 kilometres (30 miles) underground at 7:59 pm (local time) in the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of Ibaraki prefecture, northeast of Tokyo. The earthquake could be felt in the heart of the capital. The earthquake came just two days after another moderate earthquake hit Ibaraki prefecture, which also caused buildings to shake in Tokyo.
