ISLAMABAD (APP) - Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police have enhanced the security in the Capital after the terrible blasts in Wah Cantonment on Thursday. All the heads of the police stations have been directed to enhance patrolling in their respective jurisdiction especially at public places and keep strict vigilance against anti-social elements. According to the police sources, special checking has been directed in the hotels, restaurants and Inns while extra deployment has been made at all the entry and exit points of the Capital. Police officers have been directed to utilize all available resources and their best professional skills to maintain vigil on the activities of suspected persons, proclaimed offenders and subversive elements. The people have been appealed to cooperate with the police in this regard, and in case they find any unclaimed object or a suspicious person or shady activity they must immediately inform Police Control and Rescue 15 to avoid any untoward incident. Nine outlaws arrested Our staff reporter adds: The Capital police have arrested nine accused involved in thefts, illicit weapons, and liquor selling and recovered stolen property, including five liquor bottles, 400 gram hashish and two 30 bore pistols along with 5 rounds. According to details, Aabpara police arrested one accused Aqabar and recovered stolen deck amounting Rs 5,000 from him. Another accused namely Ikram Nazir was also arrested along with five liquor bottles. Shalimar police arrested two accused Sadaqat Shah and Malik Basharat and recovered 400 gram hashish from them. Tarnol police arrested two accused namely Sher Khan and Nargis involved in snatching vehicle No- 3936 and case FIR no 205/08 u/s 392/511 PPC in Tarnol Police Station has been registered against them. They also arrested two accused namely Muhammad Fiaz and Muhammad Faraz and recovered illicit weapons including two, 30 bore pistols along with 5 rounds. Similarly, Golra Police arrested accused Muhammad Farhan involved in cycle theft amounting Rs 5,000 and case against the accused has been registered in Golra Police Station. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is under way. The SSP, Captain (Retd) Ahmad Latif, directed all SHOs to further intensify patrolling in the area and further beef up crime prevention measures in their respective areas to ensure the protection of life and property of the citizens. Police and community cooperation should be enhanced for the prevention of crime in the area.
