Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that for the supremacy of law and constitution, accountability of former President General Pervez Musharraf (retd) is inevitable, a private TV reported. Talking to a delegation of intellectuals here on Friday, Nawaz Sharif warned that if measures regarding repeal of 17th Amendment were not adopted, PML-N would quit the Constitutional Committee. He stated that accountability of Pervez Musharraf, under Article 6 of the constitution, is not his personal opinion but is the voice of the whole nation. Nawaz Sharif was of view that if the dictators, who abrogated the constitution, were not brought to justice, the dream of bringing to an end the ways of dictators would not come true. For the supremacy of Parliament, repealing of 17th Amendment is inevitable, he and added that if the Constitutional Committee did not take measures to repeal the 17th Amendment, PML-N would consider other options instead of participating in the committee.
